Is blood thicker than water?

Is blood thicker than water?

Is blood thicker than water? Are your family really the ones that are going to be there for the whole of your life and your friends just passing ships in the night? Well I wouldn’t quite split it as evenly as that, but I have realised that there is something to be said for those people that you have been close to since your youth.

People change, they grow and they mature as people. As we journey through life we realise that those people that we are truely close to are very few indeed. Those people that enhance our lives are so important to us. As we get older many of the people that we were friends or were close to we loose contact with. What I have seen is that just because we haven’t seen someone in a long time, doesn’t mean that we aren’t still firiends.

I recently went to an old friends birthday party. It was there that I met and re-connected with some people from my first ever school! These were my childhood friends, people I hadn’t seen in years. Yet there was one guy who I used to be really close to.. and years later I found that I still am! This is the really surprising part. Just because I hadn’t seen the guy in years, didn’t mean that we had lost any sense of the friendship and loyalty that we had for each other. Still proper mates, after all these years.

Facebook and the like try and act as a way to conect - but you never actually see the people so how are you going to have a chance to actually re connect? Well, if you do find people how ever the means, if you see them in person, you might be a little surprised at how well you still get on, so get out there and do it!

By the way, I’ve gone and done it, I got the appointment to sort out my thread veins. So ease up on me. You won, I lost! Also, Troy came back from his trip to america, he wrote an Enigin article about it if you wanted to have a look.
