Corporate companies, aggggh! What are these things? Faceless monsters with not a care in the world for the individual, or is that a bit harsh? Well, it might be accurate for some of the world’s ‘leading’ companies, whose idea of ‘fair trade’ means a vending-machine that doesn’t have a problem returning the right change, but it’s not accurate for Enigin(I am reasonably sure that an Enigin vending-machine might even give you too much change!). How is that you ask? Well, Enigin have real people–blood, skin, bones, yes all that–blogging about their current—and not so current—affairs. And you know what? They also have a sense of humour. In my book, as well as the fact that they are constantly filling us all in on their newest plans and aspirations, that makes Enigin a company with a good head on its shoulders. Another good thing about reading these blogs is the inspiration they bring. Simple language, simple ideas, covering topics which can sometimes seem convoluted and deliberately tough to understand. Almost every time I finish reading an Enigin blog post I am struck with how utterly useless I am at being energy-efficient. Since that first fateful day I have stopped turning lights on for the hell of it—and suffered hitting things in the dark with my knee, but that’s a small price to pay—and managed to curb how much I breathe. OK, that’s a lie, but it definitely made me think twice about how much I do to destroy the planet.
