ENIGIN: Paul Welton – Strategic Manager at Enigin Plc

Measure - Save - Survive - Flourish

I have over 30 years experience in dealing with businesses of almost every size and nature both in the public and private sector.

I have been a project manager running multimillion pound change projects implementing organisational/structural/cultural programmes covering large geographical areas in Southern England.

Saving energy is synonymous with saving costs and saving businesses. In fact it can add to the bottom line profits when other measures fall short. But in order to do that you need to able to measure what you are using energy wise and better understand the where and why questions.

Enigin - Saving Energy

Enigin - Saving Energy

Eniscope from Enigin Plc is designed specifically to do just that. It really makes business sense to make such a modest investment. Once you can clearly see your energy profiles in easily understandable displays you can plan more effectively to address the issues it clearly portrays for you. Yes you can take remedial steps to stem the wastage of energy within your organisation and save hard earned cash.

When it comes to successfully running any business one must focus not just on bringing money in through the front door but stemming the tide of expenses going out the back. That has been part of my key responsibilities at Enigin. I have seen many a good company flounder and fail due to a lack of attention to costs; in contrast Enigin has just reported a staggering 83% increase in turnover over the previous year with a pre-tax profit of 16% - and all this during a global recession!

I am a trained mentor, facilitator, public speaker and presenter – used in training programmes and workshops throughout my career. My role at Enigin Plc is at high level looking at the business planning, direction and strategic changes to ensure the continued success of the company. I have the knack of asking the awkward questions to ensure that the correct focus is given to the highest priorities arising from my reviews and investigative enquiries.

Here at Enigin I run the regular strategic management meetings attended by all Directors and Senior Managers. This is a focal point for exchanging information, enhancing cross department communication and making important corporate decisions. Action points are allocated to the appropriate department head and rigorously monitored to ensure completion of agreed tasks.

As we all know you must be able to produce realistic business plans that reflect the market place in which you will be operating. Getting a handle on your costs, including spiralling energy costs, is essential and this is where the Eniscope can really assist you. You can then move on to produce an energy saving strategy to support your company with vital Enigin energy saving products that fit your person /organisational needs.
Your company will then have a far better chance of not just surviving but flourishing when other less focused organisations falter and fail – Why?

Because they have neglected to effectively review their costs and in particular their energy costs which are increasing month on month.

Make the effort, measure, save, survive and flourish.

A thanks to Paul Welton over at Enigin PLC for that valuable contribution.

Bright Spark - I hear the lights are going out at Enigin plc!
Enigin
It seems that Enigin have not paid their electricity bill!?

Well that’s not quite true, but our lighting and maybe even yours is about to significantly change!

My name is Adam Wills and I am a business manager at Enigin plc, now to be perfectly honest my main responsibility with the organization is to speak with potential partners/distributors from around the world and assess their suitability to join our company as a representative; however there seems to be quite a buzz around the office of late.

Since starting with Enigin one thing I can say is that they don’t sit still! No sooner do we develop or source a new bit of technology for our network of partners than we have moved onto the next exciting development! And from what I hear LED replacement bulbs are it!

Mark Sinden, head of Research and Development at Enigin said:

“LED Lamps are rightly attracting a lot of attention around the globe and I am delighted that we now have a high quality product for our Partner’s to sell.

Ok let’s get to the point….Is it possible for people to get excited by selling a light bulb I hear you ask? Well our existing distributors certainly seem to think so, now a replacement for a light bulb isn’t very sexy! However what you can save your clients certainly is! Imagine going to a customer and saying you were able to save them a significant sum……. How does 90% sound? Well with our new Halogen Replacement bulbs you could be having this kind of conversation with them very soon.

Mark concluded:

“They are simple to install, easy to understand, produce great energy savings and promise to be a major seller and profit maker for Enigin Partners,”

Now to set the record straight, Enigin is not just a company who sells energy saving light bulbs, this is just a part of many solutions we sell to help improve the efficiency of motors, lighting, refrigeration and air conditioning.

So, the lights are not going out here and our partners and distributors around the world can also look forward to a bright future.

Bright Spark would like to thank Adam over at Enigin for kindly volenteering to write a post. Thanks Adam.

Update 30/11/09
Enigin Update – I have recently received a phone call from a friend of mine concerning the Enigin page on this blog. She works for an organisation that are genuinely interested in what Enigin was all about, so I have decided to put a quick update in here about some recent press that Enigin have received. There is a really informative article that explains what Enigin does and how they feel about cutting costs and the overall carbon footprint in various industries. If you want to read the article it is on the EarthTimes news feed and is called ‘Cutting Carbon, Cutting Costs’. I will also keep you updated on if my friend does end up making a deal with Enigin and how that turns out, it may be an interesting experiment.
